can you help me identify this plant?
This plant was purchased at a street fair. I was told it is about 7 years old. What care does it require?
Thank you.

Hi there!!!
Its hard to tell it's species from a small photo, but it looks as if it would be a deciduous of some variant.
Refer to our guide on the Chinese Elm. I suspect they are somewhat similar and would require the same care.
I don't think this is a 'true' bonsai specimen. It looks like a standard species of house or garden plant that has been 'bonsai-ed'. However, this is what bonsai is all about! It looks as if it will need some trimming and pruning, but wait until the end of Winter for this.
I like the exposed root system, this shape will work well for this tree. Trim down about 2/3 of it's growth and prune back the branches. Ensure the tree has symmetry and go for your life! All our care guides should see you right!
