Hi, I'm growing my first Bansai from seed (pic attached). Seems to be going well but I am just trying to figure out the basics. Can you tell the species from the pic? Can I grow it indoors as ideally I'd like to...

Nice move to go the 'whole 9 yards' and start a tree from scratch!

Unfortunately, it is too hard to tell from the picture exactly what species you have there........ At that age there are literally hundreds of trees it could be!

However, this doesn't matter.

Basically, until you get an idea of the species, you will be able to grow it indoors, provided there is enough light and warmth - two key elements for plant growth!
